What we see in High River homes
The 2013 flood meant a great many High River homes had their main floors rebuilt, and that has left the town with an unusual pattern: older houses, in established streets near the Highwood River and the downtown core, carrying flooring that is barely a decade old. That combination is genuinely awkward for accessories. The flooring is modern, but the house around it isn't — original duct openings, original stair geometry, original doorway widths that don't line up with anything a manufacturer makes to a standard. Newer developments like Montrose, Hampton Hills and Sunrise Meadows are more conventional new-build work. But the rebuilt older homes are where we earn our keep, because a modern floor in a pre-war house is precisely the case where nothing off a shelf fits.
Getting to us
High River is a straight run north on Highway 2 to our shop at 262 Poplar Hill Drive in northwest Calgary — around fifty minutes once you're around the city. You bring your flooring to the shop and collect the finished pieces there; we don't run deliveries. We work with High River homeowners and with the flooring contractors who've been busy in that town for years now.

Our floor was replaced after the flood. Can you still match it?
If you kept offcuts, absolutely — that's ideal, and a lot of post-flood installs left spare boxes behind. Without them, tell us the product name if you have it and we'll be straight with you about what's achievable.
Our house is old but our floor is new. Do stock accessories not fit?
Frequently not, and it's the most common High River call we get. Older homes have duct openings, stair depths and doorway widths that predate current standards, so an accessory sized to a modern standard simply doesn't sit right. Everything we make is cut to your actual measurements.
How does it work if we're in High River?
You bring your flooring to the shop in northwest Calgary and collect the finished pieces from us once they're made.
